Message From The Superintendent

 

Dear Families, Students, Staff, and Community,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!  As we open our doors for another year of discovery and growth, I am filled with immense pride in our students, our educators, and the vibrant Iberville communities that support them. This year, we aren't just returning to the classroom; we are stepping into a future defined by expanded horizons and a steadfast commitment to excellence.

Our primary mission remains academic excellence and we continue to see steady academic growth across the district, a testament to the hard work of our students and the dedication of our faculty and staff. To keep this momentum, we are introducing two major initiatives this year:

• The Early College Option Launch: In an exciting collaboration with River Parishes Community College (RPCC), we are officially launching our Early College option. This program allows eligible students to earn dual enrollment credits and a Certificate of Technical Studies while still in high school, providing a head start on their professional lives.
• Expanded Career Pathways: We are broadening our academic and career opportunities to ensure every student—whether they are bound for a four-year university or a high-demand technical trade—has a clear, supported path to success.

The safety of our students and staff is a non-negotiable priority. To maintain a secure learning environment, we have implemented a clear or mesh school bag policy for the 2026-27 school year. This simple step is a vital part of our comprehensive safety strategy, allowing us to focus more energy on teaching and less on security risks.

Furthermore, we believe that a student’s physical environment impacts their ability to learn. We are moving forward with continued facility upgrades and maintenance projects across the parish to ensure our schools are modern, safe, and inspiring places to work and study.

No school district can succeed in a vacuum. This year, we are calling on our parents, local businesses, and community leaders to help us strengthen our family and community partnerships. Your involvement—whether through volunteering, mentorship, or simply staying engaged with your child’s progress is critical in our mission.
