Special Education
The Department of Special Education provides continuous support for Students with Disabilities (SWD). This department provides a range of direct, related, and support services to ensure that all students with disabilities, aged 3 to 21, receive a free appropriate public education (FAPE). IPSB is committed to adhering to all procedures involved in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for these students.
Services offered may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Occupational Therapy (OT)
- Physical Therapy (PT)
- Special Needs Counseling (SNC)
- Adaptive Physical Education (APE)
- Speech Therapy
- Visual Impairment (VI)
- Early Intervention
- Assistive Technology (AT)
- Talented (Art, Theater, & Music) and Academically Gifted (TAG)
Our department strives to work collaboratively with teachers, service providers, school administration and parents to make student-centered decisions in order to support individual and collective needs of all students.
