We are glad to announce that IPSB has contracted with Monarch Management Corporation to operate the student accident insurance program for the 2024-2025 school year. Monarch Management Corporation allows parents/guardians to purchase this insurance as primary insurance if they do not already have one or as a supplement to their primary insurance for accident and injury coverage.
Parents can purchase Student Accident Insurance, which is a voluntary supplemental coverage offered to any enrolled IPSB student for a single annual premium payment with a variety of alternatives. You can review coverage, enroll, and pay your premiums online at Monarch Management Corporation.
For inquiries or additional information on the IPSB Student & Athletic Accident Insurance Program, please call Brown & Brown Insurance at 225-763-5625, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST. Please be aware that IPSB employees are not permitted to file claims on behalf of any student. Parents/guardians are responsible for filing their own claims and negotiating directly with the insurance carrier.

To assure coverage, parents and/or guardians must obtain the insurance prior to an incident occurring.
Participation in this program is completely voluntary. According to the Louisiana Tort Claims Act, IPSB cannot legally be held liable for the costs of treating student injuries or any other costs associated with an injury at school or any school-related function unless the personal injury was caused by a district employee's negligent operation of a motor vehicle while performing district duties. Please keep in mind that the insurance coverage supplied is a limited benefit policy, and any medical doctor or facility expenditures that exceed the policy limits are ultimately the responsibility of the parents or guardians.
