The curriculum and instruction department plays a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of students. Its primary responsibilities include:

Curriculum Selection and Implementation: The curriculum department, along with school leaders and teachers, reviews, selects, and implements curriculum for all subjects and grade levels, ensuring it aligns with state standards and reflects current educational trends.

Selecting instructional materials, resources, and software: The curriculum department, along with school leaders and teachers, reviews, selects, implements and monitors implementation of instructional materials, resources, and software that support the curriculum and meet the needs of students.

Providing professional development: The department offers professional development opportunities for school leaders and teachers to enhance their teaching skills and knowledge of the curriculum.

Evaluating curriculum effectiveness: They monitor and assess the effectiveness of the curriculum to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments.

Collaborating with stakeholders: The department works closely with teachers, administrators, parents, and community members to gather feedback and ensure the curriculum meets the needs of all stakeholders.

Assessment & Accountability
Students in Iberville will take the following assessments at their appropriate grade level:
Note: Students who do not score proficient on high school assessments may retake LEAP 2025 assessments through 12th Grade.
- 3rd Grade - 8th Grade will take LEAP 2025 - computer based assessments - ELA, Math, Science AND Social Studies
- 9th Grade - LEAP 2025 HS - Algebra I AND English I
- 10th Grade - LEAP 2025 HS - English II AND Geometry AND Biology AND Civics.
- 11th Grade - LEAP 2025 HS – US History AND ACT AND WorkKeys
