Invitation to Iberville Parish

Come and experience the Iberville quality of life. We are home to the Acadian Festival, the Plaquemine Locks, The Island Golf Country Club, beautiful parks and an excellent public school system along with cultural and recreational facilities.

We're a rural community, but we are located only 15 minutes from Baton Rouge There is always plenty to do, and many places to go. The Mississippi River is at our back door and so is the Atchafalaya Basin.

Our parish offers pleasant residential areas in a rural setting centered around the parish's petrochemical industry which is the cornerstone of its strong economic base. And the cost of living, especially housing, is very reasonable compared to the rest of the nation!

If you're considering higher education, opportunities abound in the many universities nearby: Louisiana State University, Southern University, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Nicholls State University, and Southeastern University. Baton Rouge Community college is also close by.
