Summer Reading 2010

This blog has been created to allow students to comment and critique the summer reading book(s) they read this summer. If you have not checked out the summer reading list, you can find a link to it on the PHS Home page, at PHS, or at the parish library. Summer reading lists were mailed in the report cards to students in grades 9 - 12. Please get a copy if you do not have one. We think you will be excited when you see the works selected.  The titles on our summer reading list were chosen by PHS students. Many of the titles have been read by students at PHS and can be found in the local library. The titles are classified by genre allowing students to chose a book that is of interest to them. The English teachers at PHS are working on projects that students will complete during the first nine weeks. These projects will be comprehensive projects with oral and visual presentations. Some examples will be posted to the English Department web page soon. We hope you will take this opportunity to comment on your book(s) on this blog. We also hope that you are enjoying your summer and enriching your days by reading.
