1/1/18 Thanks to the efforts of Custodial Supervisor Mr. James Williams, the custodians at each school have received newly released floor scrubbing machines that will facilitate more efficient cleaning and upkeep of our floors. The purchase of this equipment is another way that the Maintenance Department is equipping our staff with the tools necessary to do the best job possible. The Maintenance Department will also be providing a new non-slip floor stripping product to aid in the safety of our employees during the performance of their duties.

11/30/17 With the cooperation of Entergy Louisiana, we have recently upgraded all pole security lighting at Dorseyville Elementary to newer, brighter, energy efficient L.E.D. lights, and added additional L.E.D. lighting to the front of the school as well. With the success at this site, we are planning to continue to do this at other schools throughtout the district with all of our service providers.
9/1/17 The IPSB Maintenance Department Energy Management Division is continually exploring avenues to reduce utility usage across the district. Since 2009, the Iberville Parish School Board has added over 25% square footage to our district. This expansion has come in the form of classroom additions, gymnasiums, athletic facilities, performing arts centers, and a new school - MSA East in St. Gabriel. Pre-expansion yearly electricity use for the district was just under 15 million kilowatt hours. Calendar year 2016 saw post-expansion district wide electricity use fall to just over 13 million kilowatt hours, an 11% decrease over pre-expansion usage.
8/29/17 Several Maintenance projects completed this summer focused on safety and security at the schools throughout the district. This included items like welcome centers at the front of all school sites, access card controls to secure our buildings throughout the district, and relocating the office at Dorseyville to the front entrance. For a full list of projects please feel free to reach out to the Maintenance Department and one can be provided.
8/21/17 Maintenance Buildings and Grounds is now under the leadership of Mr. Randy Morales, who was recently promoted to the position of Iberville Parish School Board Facilities Director. Mr. Morales promises to focus on the safety of all school sites while making informed decisions about the upkeep and cleanliness of all facilities in the district. “None of this is possible without a team of dedicated employees behind you, who share the same compassion and love for the school system!”
